Even as a young child I enjoyed drawing, and my work was often displayed on the blackboard in the third grade classroom for all to see. High school proved to be a training ground for me and my interest continued, but because I lacked confidence in my talent I decided against art school (should have listened to my parents!)

Following two years of college I began a 40-year-long career in sales (without much job satisfaction, I must admit).

Out came the paints during the 1980's when the art bug hit me hard, and for the next two years I attended classes at night under the direction of Howard Watson, a terrific local artist. Before long I was painting commission work and also for my own pleasure.

After retiring in 2008 I began making prints of the work I had completed over the years, some of which are shown in my gallery.
